What will my dog like about the sound in this toy?
All dogs have a natural prey drive (the hunting instinct) which is often triggered by a sound. To a dog, certain sounds can indicate the immediate presence of something ‘alive.’ Most dogs will be very motivated to, shall we say… ‘silence’ the sound! (this is great fun for dogs and is much kinder than real prey!). Dogtronics sound toys give dogs a natural incentive to engage (and continue to engage) with a toy.
How is the sound in this toy activated?
Remove all packaging from rumble bumps, including the pull-tab. The pull-tab activates the sound is touch-activated, which means that the sound will begin if the ball is shaken or thrown.
Is there an off switch?
No. But the sound lasts only as long as it is in being played with or is touched. The sound ceases almost immediately once the toy is at rest.
What is the clear plastic thing I see through the opening on the ball?
This is the sound module that also secures the non-replaceable batteries.
Why are the batteries non-replaceable?
By design and specifically for the safety of your pet, the module is not removable and the batteries cannot be replaced.
How long will sound last?
Our rumble bumps sound toy provides lots of play time for you and your dog. The sound can be activated at least 8,000 times which translates into a lot of fun interaction.
Can put treats in the little opening?
Rumble bumps is not a treat toy. However, the sound is so much fun that’s a treat right there.
Is this toy safe for my dog?
Dogtronics sound toys are designed with your dog’s safety foremost in mind. However, you can share in the responsibility for your dog’s safety by following these ideas:
*Choose a toy that is appropriately sized for your dog
*Always supervise your dog’s play with toys of any kind
*Remove toys from your pet if any part becomes damaged, torn, loose or frayed, as pieces may pose a health hazard.
*Store toys away from your pet when not in use.
How long will this toy last?
Some dogs love - and have the physical ability to - chew and destroy toys. For aggressive chewers no toy can be considered indestructible! If your dog is an aggressive chewer and is known to tear toys apart easily, please supervise your dog during play.
What do I do if my dog chews the rubber into pieces and swallows some?
For the safety of your entire household, dispose of all toy pieces and consult your veterinarian about what your dog has swallowed.
Can I wash the toy?
Toys do get ‘mouthed’ by dogs and we understand you may want to freshen things up a bit from time to time. Please do not immerse rumble bumps in water. Simply surface-clean the toy using a damp cloth and air dry.
Where can I buy this toy?
Look for rumble bumps and other Dogtronics toys at Walmart stores nationwide.
